Jabbar Abdi Joins Cordova, Smart & Williams, LLC as Vice President

New York, NY, June 13, 2005 — Cordova, Smart & Williams, LLC (CSW), a middle market private equity firm, today announced that Jabbar Abdi has joined the firm as a vice president in its New York office. Mr. Abdi, was most recently a vice president within the GE Merchant Banking Unit, responsible for originating and underwriting debt and equity financings for leveraged buyouts in the middle market. Previous to the Merchant Banking Group, Mr. Abdi was a member of GE Equity, GE Capital's Private Equity Unit. While at GE Equity, he was responsible for executing and managing early and late stage equity investments of up to $25 million in growth companies and other investment funds.

Mr. Abdi holds a M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Harvard University.
