Professional Experience
Mr. Abdi joined Cordova, Smart & Williams, LLC (“CSW”) in 2005.  Prior to joining CSW, Mr. Abdi held various positions at GE Capital.  Most recently, as a Vice President in GE Capital’s Merchant Banking Unit, Mr. Abdi was responsible for originating and underwriting debt and equity financings for leveraged buyouts in the middle market.  He also managed a portfolio of debt and equity investments in various industrial companies. Prior to his time in the Merchant Banking Group, Mr. Abdi was an Assistant Vice President in GE Capital's Private Equity Unit, GE Equity. While at GE Equity, he executed and managed early- and late-stage equity investments in growth companies and other investment funds.

Prior to his tenure at GE Capital, Mr. Abdi was a management consultant with First Manhattan Consulting Group where he focused on strategy development and implementation in the financial services sector. Mr. Abdi began his career with Furman Selz, a New York-based investment bank (since bought by ING). At Furman, he conducted an assortment of mergers and acquisitions, public equity offerings, and private placements.

Education
Mr. Abdi holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his A.B. from Harvard University.
